<p>I just finished reading the Sunday paper, and couldn&#8217;t help but write this post.   All I continue to read is &#8220;gas is expensive, save your money, cut coupons, people are not spending money, recession this, recession that.</p>
<p>I think Tim Ferris from the 4 Hour Work Week was right &#8211; we need to go on a media diet!!</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s not get out of touch with reality, yes consumers are spending less, BUT, when they are spending money, they are coming online to do it!  They don&#8217;t want to fill up their SUV&#8217;s with $150 tanks of gas, when they can click a few buttons and have their stuff delivered right to their door.</p>
<p>At Taz Solutions, while many businesses are pulling back their marketing efforts &#8211; we&#8217;re encouraging our clients to keep ramping up.</p>
<p>Now more then ever consumers are:</p>
<ul>
<li>buying stuff from the web</li>
<li>looking for experts to help them</li>
<li>purchasing coaching</li>
<li>reading more materials (blogs, videos, articles, news)</li>
</ul>
<p>I urge you, don&#8217;t fall into the trap and pull back your marketing efforts.  Ramp up, while all others are ramping down!</p>

<p>You may counter that and say: I’m looking to quickly test some new products and services so a strategy is not yet necessary. But, what happens if your new product is a hit? Do you know why? Do you know where the traffic came from that made this a hit? Was it the You Tube video you launched or the online press release? Maybe it was the viral affect you created by updating your blog daily for two weeks – plain and simple – you just don’t know!</p>
<p>If you are planning to do any business online you need to have a strategy.</p>
<p>Here are some questions to get you started:</p>
<p>1. What do you hope to accomplish by doing business online? Do you want to simply generate awareness about your company or do you want to sell your products online?<br />
2. What are your goals in terms of visitors, leads and sales?<br />
3. What is your target market?<br />
4. Where do you want to market online?<br />
5. How will you manage your leads and sales?<br />
6. Lastly, how will you track, analyze and adjust?</p>
<p>These answers will help guide you in your marketing and advertising in going forward. Keep in mind everyone has different target markets and goals. Some people simply want to generate an extra $1000/month in passive income selling an ebook. Others want to take their company from 50M to 100M in Sales in two years using online marketing!</p>
