There was a great article in The Buffalo News on July 25, Startups called key to Buffalo’s future, which explained how the Buffalo Niagara region needs to begin to plan and build an ecosystem to support and incubate tech startups, such as social media marketing companies, online marketing services and web consulting services.

Per Fred Wilson, who spoke at the Z80 Lab’s “Feeding Innovation Speaker Series”:

…”the Buffalo area’s motivated and educated workforce, low cost of living, and large network of colleges and universities can be mined to produce a critical mass of risk-taking entrepreneurs.”

Also, according to Z80′s chief principal innovationist, Dan Magnuszewski:

“You don’t need to look for a job – you can create your own jobs.”
